  • King Island Museum - open 2pm to 4pm 7 days a week throughout the season. Allow at least an hour to see the collection. Volunteers will source information.
  • King Dairy Fromagerie to taste famous cheeses
    Open 6 days 12pm -4.30pm. Closed Saturdays.
  • The Maritime Trail - take the virtual tour
    • Wickham Lighthouse
    • Currie Lighthouse - climb the lighthouse. Tours operate on Saturdays starting at 3pm. Adults $15 Child $7.50 (12 years and under) Family $40. Bookings essential. Phone Ondrea 0439 705 610. Groups of 4 or more possible on other days by special arrangement.

  • Walk around scenic Currie Harbour, calling into The Boathouse Gallery and The Pepperpot Pottery

  • King Island Grazing Trails - The King Island Grazing trails are a network of recreation and food trails covering five distinct areas around King Island.
  • Puddle with the Platypus- for the adventurous hearted. Saturdays and Tuesdays 8-9.30am Adults $30 Children $10 Family $70 Includes tea or coffee and light breakfast.   • Bird Hide- Overlooking Shag Lagoon the full colour interpretive signs on the walls of the hide, show 28 examples of the bird species likely to be observed around the Shag Lagoon wetlands. If you are tripping up North Rd, please stop for a look, and sign the visitors book. And if you feel inclined, we would appreciate you also filling in a bird observation sheet- just tick the boxes and estimate the number of birds. Please also record the date and time of day. How to get there- the Bird Hide is 1km down Heddles rd which is 4km north of the King Island Dairy.

Tours

  • King Island Trail Rides - Discover King Island on horseback. Horse rides along pristine beaches and coastal trails. (information below)
  • British Admiral Beach Ride - The ride departs our farm on Badger Box Creek and winds down the track to Badger Box Beach and along the iconic British Admiral Beach. The rides takes approx 2.5hrs and is prodominantly a beach ride. There will be a opportunity to trot and canter - depending on the ability of the rider. This is a experience you are guaranteed to enjoy and remember. Time: 2.5hrs Price: $110.00 Rides leaves 9.30am & 2.30pm daily, minimum 2 people minimum age 14yrs.
  • Sandfly Beach Ride - This ride departs our farm on Badger Box Creekand goes down along the track behind the rocks to Sandfly Beach and returns to the farm. This ride is mainly for those who aren't as confident and is a walk only ride. Our guides are able to hand lead. Time:1hr Price: $ 55.00 Rides leaves 12pm daily Minimum 2 people minimum age 6yrs. bookings are essential and a deposit is required.
